Moses hears from God for the first time in today’s reading, and when he does, he tries to bow out. We’re reading from the New International Version for chapters 3 and 4 of the book of Exodus.
May God bless the reading of His Word.
Imagine the weight of the call that God put on Moses. I can understand his not feeling like he could take on the responsibility. He knows that God is holy and righteous. And he knows that he murdered a man years before, and that he has been just a humble shepherd for most of the years since he left Egypt. I get his reticence.
You know, many…if not most of us have heard that story before. But did you ever notice that short three verse vignette where we’re told that God was about to kill Moses? Seems like this just came out of nowhere, right? Let’s talk about that at the Facebook group. Just go to LifespringMedia.com/facebook. If you’re not yet a member, I’ll approve you ASAP and let’s talk about this.
Hey, welcome to a new week! I’ll see you tomorrow. May God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
