Today, we’ll read Exodus 30, where God gives more instructions about the Tabernacle, and Matthew chapter 2, where King Herod is not happy to hear about the birth of a new King. We’ll read the God’s Word Translation.

I am always amazed at the detail given to Moses about how the Tabernacle was to be constructed, and how sacrifices and rituals were to be performed. And then, in Matthew, I am always horrified to read of Herod’s monstrous act of killing all the young boys two years and younger. History tells us that this was not his only act of murder.
