Lifespring! Family Audio Bible - Steve WebbToday’s chapter from Leviticus, chapter 20, is another one that if you have young children listening, you might want to fast forward through until you get to Mark. God talks to Moses about laws concerning sexual practices that are disdainful to Him.

In Mark chapter 4, Jesus tells some parables and calms a storm.

And we’ll read Psalms chapter 2.

Today we’re reading again from the Holman Christian Standard Bible.

READING

May God bless the reading of His Word.

Well, we saw today in our reading of Leviticus 20 that God does not look with favor upon people who deal in the occult. His judgement is severe. Also, He again delineated some of the sexual practices that He abhors. And He told the people what they should do to please Him. You know, it really isn’t hard, but we humans have a hard time doing the right thing.

Of course, that is why Jesus came. And in Mark 4 today, we saw Jesus explain some parables about how different people receive the Word of God. And He astonished His disciples by commanding the weather. Kind of amazing, isn’t it? They’ve *seen* him heal people. Why should they be surprised that He can calm a storm? I guess I’d be amazed, too.

Are you enjoying having a Psalm, too? I hope so, ’cause I’m enjoying reading it for you.

Well, I’ll see you tomorrow. May God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.

I think the addition of the Psalm to the reading is great. They always touch my heart.
