Hi, and welcome to the NEW Lifespring Family Bible. I’m Steve Webb, and I am your humble host. If you’re familiar with the Lifespring Media family of podcasts, and if you know me, I give you a hearty welcome back. I know it’s been awhile since we last spoke, and I am grateful that you stuck around.
If you are new to Lifespring, I extend you my hand of friendship and welcome you to the family. I’ve been in the podcasting world since 2004, and it is a joy to add a new listener to the fold.
The first time I recorded the LSFB was in 2007. In that edition of the show, we went through the entire Bible in one year, but we alternated between the Old Testament and the New, and we did not go in the order the books appear in the Bible. Also, about 99% of the reading was from the NET Bible.
This time, we will go from Genesis to Revelation, we will use a variety of Bible translations (or versions), and we will almost certainly take more than a year to get through.
I hope you will join me in this newest edition of the LSFB. Please feel free to write to me. You can do so at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to share your emails on the podcast. Also, if you would like to record an audio message, that would be great too. I’ll include those on the show as well.
Another way to interact with me is on Twitter. I’m _SteveWebb_. #LifespringMedia
I’ve just set up a Facebook group, too. Here’s the link. I’d love to have you join us there. It’s a brand new group, so let’s get lots of folks on board!
So, without further ado, let’s get started with Genesis, chapter one. I’m reading from the New International Version today.
