I’m sure you noticed that God chose the evil king Nebuchadnezzar as his tool to bring judgment on His chosen people. Does that seem strange to you that God would use someone like that? Doesn’t God look for righteous people to accomplish His plan? Not always. He is God, and all people are His creation, and He is sovereign. He can and does use anyone He chooses. He put Nebuchadnezzar into a place of power in order to use that power to punish His chosen people for their refusal to follow His Word and because they chose to worship false gods. Their worship of false gods was made worse because they even chose to sacrifice their children to them. Shedding the blood of these innocents was, I believe (and this is only my opinion) the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back.
According to an article dated January 14, 2016, 58,586,256 have taken place since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. Do you think that God will give us a pass for sacrificing our children on the altar of Pro Choice? In Malachi 3:6, God says, “I the LORD do not change.” Why would He bring judgment on His chosen people, and give us a pass?
