Abraham buries Sarah.
Today we hear about Sodom and Gomorrah, the fulfillment of the promise that God made to Abraham and Sarah, and God asks Abraham to do something that would cause any parent to question. What did Abraham do?
Reading Genesis 15 through 18. Abram gets a new name, and his wife laughs at a message from the Lord.
Today we read Genesis 11 – 14.
Genesis 8 – 10.
Today we will read Genesis, chapters 5 through 7
Chapter 5 has the family history of Adam’s decendants. There are many names here that are unusual, to be sure, but some that are still used today. See if you can spot them.
The longest living human being ever recorded is in this chapter, too. You may have heard the expression, “As old as Methuselah.” Listen to see how old Methuselah was when he died.
We hear about Noah, and how God called him to do something that had never been done in human history, and which has not been repeated since.
We hear that God is sorry that He did something. Listen to see what that might be.
Reading Genesis 3 and 4.
The first sin, the first murder, and the first generations of mankind.
We begin reading the first book of the Bible…Genesis.
My guest today is Kenny Metcalf, who introduced the guys in the group, Stryper, to Jesus…before there was a Stryper. He went on to become Stryper’s keyboard player, touring with them all around the United States.
In today’s interview, Kenny talks about some of his experiences with the group, and then tells us how his life and the Old Testament’s Job have some amazing parallels. He tells of the healing power of God, and how we can have faith, even in the midst of terrible hardships.
Kenny’s miracle page is here. (EDIT: This page is no longer in existence.)
His band’s page is here. (EDIT: This page is no longer in existence.)
