Today is Wednesday, and we’ll read Genesis 34 and 35 from the World English Bible.

May God bless the reading of His Word. Well, Jacob’s sons, Dinah’s brothers, were very clever, weren’t they? They knew when to attack and take revenge on those who had defiled their sister.

And then, we saw Jacob’s name being changed by God to Israel. “Jacob” means “heel catcher” or “supplanter”, and Israel means “God contended” because he wrestled with God.
