The prophesies continue.

Isaiah continues revealing the prophecy of God concerning the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem, but in the midst of the bad news, there is a glimmer of hope to those who will hear. Listen to hear what that hope is.

God’s warning of devastation, as given through the prophet Isaiah, paints a terrifying picture of the coming time in the land of Israel.

Lamentations, which showed the consequences of God’s judgment on the people, comes to a close. Isaiah begins, and we see the warning that God had given them.

The writer continues the litany of tragic events that have befallen the people as a result of their sin, but in the middle of today’s reading, praises for God abound! Why? Listen to find out the answer.

Paul ends his letter by encouraging the saints. Lamentations is a book written about Israel after the people have turned away from God and He had allowed it to fall.

Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus indicates that there may have been some divisions among the people. Paul encourages them to look at those things that God has done to create one body…the church.
