Opposition and defiance.

Today we learn why the children of Israel wandered in the desert for forty years.

The Lord gives marching orders, the Israelites complain that they are tired of manna, Aaron and his wife oppose Moses.

God sets apart the Levites, the observing of the Passover in the desert, and we hear how God led the Israelites as they traveled.

The leaders of each tribe present offerings over a period of twelve days.

Not so many “numbers” today. The Lord speaks to Moses and Aaron about more laws.

The counting continues in this, the book of Numbers.

Today we conclude the reading of the Acts of the Apostles, and begin the Old Testament book of Numbers.

Despite hard drive problems at the studio, and the resulting lack of music on this episode, we read today about Paul’s defense in front of King Agrippa, and a voyage gone wrong.
