While I love the book of Job, it breaks my heart to read of Job’s losses. But it makes me even angrier at the enemy. He hates God’s most prized creation, mankind, so much. That any creature would be so twisted and evil that they would desire to bring such sorrow and destruction on someone who was, by all accounts, innocent, is infuriating to me.

But God has given us this book to encourage us.

I’m going to give you a spoiler here. God restores Job at the end of the book.

Yes, bad things happen to good people every day. You might be going through a trial right now. But that does not mean that God has forgotten you. God loves you, and if you are one of His, this is not the end.

We do have a guarantee that there is coming a day that He will dry every tear. Remember, Jesus has already overcome, and each of us will be in His presence, made whole.
