Thoughts

Chapter 9 begins with the words, “1I will thank you, LORD, with all my heart; I will talk about all your wonderful acts.” And then David goes on to list many of God’s great acts.

Beloved, do you talk about how God is working in your life to your friends and family? I’m guessing you probably do. You’re comfortable with them, and you probably have a lot in common with them.

Here’s a harder question: Do you tell your acquaintances, people you know but are not close to? Or people you just met?

Why not?

Many of us are shy about talking about God to people we don’t know well. We don’t want them to think we’re some strange religious nut.

But beloved, if we truly believe that God is who we profess Him to be, and if we truly believe that people who haven’t made Jesus their Savior are destined for a very bleak eternity, then we must tell them about Him.

I’m an introvert by nature, believe it or not. But I meet people all the time in the business that the Lovely Lady LeeAnn and I have operated for almost 34 years. And quite often, I talk about the Lord with them. If nothing else, I plant seeds, I get them started thinking about Him. I don’t say this to boast, only to say that when you are open to discussing Him, God will give you opportunities to tell others what He has done in your life.

And right now, with all the craziness happening in the world, any opportunity God gives us to bring His message of Good News, and any time we can bring light into a very dark world, we need to do it!

Don’t you agree? Let’s shout from the rooftops that there is hope in Jesus! He is the only way the world will find any peace.

Amen?
