Thoughts

I want to focus on two verses from today’s reading, beloved.

The first is from chapter 11, verse 4: “But what is God’s reply to him? ‘I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.'”

And the second is chapter 12, verses 1 and 2: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

We are living through tumultuous times, wouldn’t you agree? Who would have thought just half a year ago what the world we live in now would be as it is?

Brothers and sisters, it seems obvious to me that there could soon come a time where many of us will be commanded to kneel to movements and causes that are completely against the will of God.

Do not go with the masses.

Be one of the remnant.

Be one of the few who refuse to bow the knee to anyone or anything but Jesus Christ.

Anything else is compromise and is unacceptable.

Present your body only to God, and to no other cause.

There will come a time where we are tested. Maybe sooner, much sooner, than we know.

Do not be conformed to the world.

Stand fast.

Stand, kneeling only to Jesus.
