Lifespring! Family BibleSo yesterday was Good Friday. We remembered that day when Jesus, the Lamb of God, spotless, sinless, without blame, was betrayed, beaten and nailed to a cross. Today is Saturday. Think of Him today laying in the tomb. His body cold and lifeless. Think of the despair of his disciples. Think of the heartbreak his mother was feeling. Remember, they did not have the perspective that we have. For them, it seemed that all was lost. But for us, I think my friend Bryan Duncan said it best today on his Twitter feed: SPOKE TO GOD.. he said “on friday i’m gonna die for your sins…I’ll be right back.”

Today we’ll read chapter Genesis 29 from the New King James Version. How long would you wait to marry the person you love?

May God bless the reading of His Word.

I’m not sure I would still want to marry Rachel once I found out what a scoundrel my future father-in-law would be! Jacob ended up waiting…and working…fourteen years to marry Rachel. Now that is a patient man.

And how wonderful that God blessed Leah with sons. But why do you suppose that God kept Rachel from conceiving?

Comment please, on the Lifespring Media fb group. If you have yet to join, why don’t you do it now, while you’re thinking about it. We would love to see you there. Don’t be shy.

Tomorrow is Easter, Resurrection Day. My absolute favorite day of the year, because without the resurrection, we would have nothing. There would be no hope for any of us. But Jesus did conquer the grave, hallelujah. Well, before I get carried away, I’ll just say, until tomorrow, may God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
