Today we are introduced to one of the central figures of the Old Testament. There was no indication of how God would use him in the first part of his life. We’re again reading from the New English Translation.

There’s nothing like a mother’s love, is there? Remember, Pharaoh had decreed that every male baby should be killed at birth. Moses’ mother thought that he might have a chance of survival if she set him afloat on the Nile. And then she ended up being able to raise him until he was weaned. Can you imagine the heartbreak of then having to release him again? A mother’s love.
