In today’s reading, the cost to Pharaoh reaches its peak. Will he let the people go? We’re reading from the Good New Translation, Exodus 10 – 12.

May God bless the reading of His Word.

The price of stubbornness can be excruciatingly high, can’t it? Have you ever said “No” to God, and paid a price? Yes, it is true that, as Christians, we live under grace, but it is also true that God is Holy, Righteous, and….God. He has the right to deal with us in such a way that will bring us into line with His plan for us. Now, understand that His methods are different for each of us, and there does come a point where he stops striving with a person if that person continues to harden their heart towards God. But He is a loving God who does not want even one person to be lost, so He will go to great lengths to bring us to Himself. My goodness, He sent His very own Son to die so that we wouldn’t have to! I would say that God the Father has done a great deal to bring us into right relationship with Him. Wouldn’t you?

Ok, so my tongue took a bit longer to heal than I had anticipated. I did give it a pretty good chomp. But I’m back now, and I hope to not have another break like we just had for quite a long time. Thanks for your patience.
