On today’s reading, God begins to give some very detailed instructions on how items within the Tabernacle are to be built, including the Ark of the Covenant. Because of the level of detail, we will only read chapter 25 of Exodus today.

So we now begin to see how these items are to be built. Quite a lot of detail. And quite a lot of gold. And yes, the ark that was described is the ark that the first Indiana Jones movie depicted, although I’m not so sure about the consequences shown in the movie if one looked inside of it.
