Yesterday we learned how a priest was to identify a case of leprosy. Today in Leviticus 14, we learn how the priest was to deal with leprosy once it is identified. In Matthew 26, Jesus’ time draws near. We’re reading the English Standard Version today.
READING
May God bless the reading of His Word.
So if you made it through yesterday and today’s reading of Leviticus, I guess I should offer you an unofficial merit badge for being an expert on leprosy. Tomorrow we are past dealing with that, but the subject matter won’t be any more pleasant to deal with. Are you tough enough to take it?
What a terrible night for Jesus and the disciples. The agony of Jesus, asking the Father if this was really the only way to accomplish his mission truly showed his human nature, but the forgiveness shown to Peter when Peter cut of the guard’s ear, and to the guards when He didn’t call the twelve legions of angels, showed his divine nature.
Of course, you will want to hear tomorrow’s reading from Matthew.
I’ll see you then. May God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
