We’ll be reading Leviticus 21, Mark 5 and Psalms chapter 2 today, from the New American Standard Bible.

May God bless the reading of His Word.
Ok, so in Leviticus 21 today, the Lord talked about some of the regulations concerning the priests. What did you make of the restrictions regarding people with physical handicaps?
In Mark 5, we know that the demon possessed man was not just insane, because the demons knew who Jesus was. Remember, they called him “Jesus, Son of the Most High God.” Not all mental illness is demonic, but this certainly was.
And in Psalms, David says that even though his enemies think that God would not deliver him, God *is* faithful and does sustain him. Have you ever felt that way? I know that there are probably some people who look at what has happened in my family over the past few years and said,”Look. Steve is out there speaking of his faith in God. If there is a God, why is Steve having all these bad things happen to him? Why is his son so sick? Why do they struggle so much? God hasn’t done anything for him!” But I *know* that God is with my family and I. I *know* that we live in a fallen, cursed, groaning world, and that the only way I *can* make it through is with God. Like the writer of this Psalm, I say, “I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.” I hope you have that kind of faith in God, because if you have not yet experienced the pain that the world can bring, you probably will. And you will need to hang on to God for all your worth.
