My but Leviticus 26 sounded so fitting today. God’s promise to bless Israel if she obeyed His ways, or punish them if she did not, sounded a lot like what I imagine Him saying to us today. The United States was once a nation that revered God and obeyed His laws…as much as a political entity could. And now that we have turned our backs on Him, we are reaping the whirlwind. But I love the further promise God gives: if she repents, he will restore. God is a god of second chances. For people and for nations. Pray. Pray. Pray without ceasing.
In Mark 10 I always love reading about how Jesus loved the kids. I think He had a special bond with kids, don’t you?
Psalm 8 is a Psalm of praise. Looking at the majesty of God, and being amazed that such an awesome and great God should even think about man. But he did more than that, he crowned us with glory and honor. My oh my! How blessed we are!
What a great way to start the weekend. To be reminded how much the God of the universe thinks of us! Think on that as you do whatever you do today. Whatever it is, I hope it’s a great one.
I’ll talk to you Monday, Lord willing. Until then, may God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
