Today we’ll read Numbers 12, Luke 7 and Psalm chapter 22 from the God’s Word Translation.

How was your weekend? I hope you get some rest and relaxation and rejuvenation in the house of the Lord. But today is Monday, and for many of us it’s back to the grindstone. I hope you have some coffee from Pine Cone Coffee to start your morning. It makes waking up in the morning not nearly so bad, knowing how good that first sip is going to taste. I like to just smell the aroma and savor it for a second or two before I take that first taste of goodness. I like the rich, full taste of those Honduran coffee beans. Mm. Mm. Mm. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, get over to PineConeCoffee.com and tell my lifelong friends, Del and Kathi Brixey, to send some to you. They have a wide selection of flavors, all available in regular and decaf. And when you order a minimum of two pounds, you’ll get free shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. And your order doesn’t have to be all one flavor. All the coffees they sell are available in quantities as small as half pound bags. If you don’t agree it’s one of the best coffees you’ve ever had, my friends Del and Kathi Brixey will refund your money. Free shipping, and no risk. PineConeCoffee.com.

READING

May God bless the reading of His Word.

I guess Numbers 12 teaches us to respect God’s chosen. Makes sense to me!

We saw a very compassionate side to Jesus in Luke 7 in today’s reading. He healed many people, in various circumstances. And in each case, the healing was in response to the faith of the receiver. The most beautiful picture was when the woman who had lived a sinful life ministered with such love and gratitude to Him. How beautiful that scene is. And when I realize how sinful I am, and how much forgiveness He has poured out on me, I wish I could show my gratitude to Him in the same way. But since I can’t, I just have to lay prostrate on the ground and praise Him. He is so good, and I am so unworthy!

And of course, Psalm 22 is a picture of Jesus on the cross. You can’t miss it with the opening…”My God, My God, why have you abandoned me?” Oh my goodness, what a moving Psalm. Thank you, Lord, for giving that to us. You are Holy. You are righteous. You are worthy of our praise.

Hey, I’ve moved our fb group to a fb page. I think that’ll work better for what I want to do there on fb, so why don’t you come on over and “Like” it? It’s easy to do. Just go to facebook.com/lifespringmedia, or search for lifespring media when you’re on fb.

Thanks for starting your week with me, and thanks to Del and Kathi Brixey, my lifelong friends over there at PineConeCoffee.com. Until tomorrow, may God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
