Today we’ll read Numbers 21, Luke 16 and Psalm 31 from the King James Version.
READING
May God bless the reading of His Word.
So I thought that we would read from the King James Version today, just for something different.
In Numbers, can you believe again the people complained. And God sent venomous snakes to bite the people, but once again Moses asked for God’s mercy, which God granted without hesitation.
Are you noticing a pattern here? The people sin. God judges the people. Moses intervenes. God forgives. The people escape the judgement they deserve.
Sound familiar? We sin. The wages of sin is death, so we are condemned. But Jesus intervenes by His death on the cross. God forgives. We escape the judgement we deserve.
Moses and the people of Israel were a “type”, or precursor of Jesus and people *everywhere* who need redemption.
Well, I hope you had a great weekend, that you walk with God this week, and that His blessings upon you are bountiful. I’m Steve Webb. Bye.
And may God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
