Today we’ll complete the book of Numbers by reading chapter 36, and we’ll read John 7 and Psalm 46. And we’ll be reading from the New Living Translation.

READING

May God bless the reading of His Word.

So today we closed out the book of Numbers with the tying up of some loose ends concerning the preservation of land rights for the tribes as they relate to marriage.

In John chapter seven, Jesus continued to irritate the Jewish leaders, as some of the people became believers, while there was quite a lot of controversy concerning what they *thought* was his place of birth.

And Psalms 47 was an unabashed song of praise for our awesome and mighty God. It must have been a joyous song to hear, don’t you think?

I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was fairly stress-free, with a good word from the Lord at church on Sunday, after which I watched a couple of late-season baseball games on TV. This is always a bit of a sad time of the year for LeeAnn and I because we are baseball lovers and we know that there are only a few games left. Of course, this year we have something to celebrate with our Dodgers winning the National League West championship. Hopefully they’ll make it all the way to a World Series victory! We shall see.

So now it’s a new week. Let’s see if we can make our walk with God the best it’s ever been, shall we? Until next time, may God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
