In case you haven’t noticed, the emphasis in the book of John is the deity of Jesus. That’s why John spends so much time on the miracles. When asked if He was the Messiah, his reply was clear to all who are willing to hear it: “The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me.”

What did he do in the Father’s name? He healed people’s bodies and their spirits. The lame walk, the deaf hear, the blind see and the sinner is forgiven.

Messiah? Undoubtedly.
