Today we’ll read Deuteronomy chapter 11, John 18 and Psalm 57, from the Holman Christian Standard Bible.
READING
May God bless the reading of His Word.
I especially like verse five of Psalm 57. It says, “God, be exalted above the heavens;
let Your glory be over the whole earth.” Personally, I can’t wait until that prayer is fulfilled in all its meaning. This old world is truly groaning from the effects of sin, but someday Jesus will return to this place, and He will reign, bringing righteousness and truth. What a marvelous day that will be.
My prayer for you this weekend is that God will meet you in a way that He never has. That you will experience His love in a new and fresh way, and that you will be enveloped in peace and joy. I pray that the Holy Spirit will give you new boldness to speak to your family and friends and neighbors about what God has done for you. I pray that you have a church family that loves and supports you, and if you do not, that He will guide you to that place, because there is a local body that is perfect for you, and you for it. This is a part of God’s design for us, that we be a part of the body, the church.
I would love to hear from you this weekend. Email me at st***@*************ia.com. Write on the Lifespring Media wall on Facebook, or tweet me at _SteveWebb_. Heck, you can even send a carrier pigeon. But no Morse code. I never learned that.
Until Monday, may God bless you richly. I’m Steve Webb.
