NewLSFB497: The New Lifespring! Family Audio Bible – Romans 12-14
I’m going to make today’s comments very short. I just found out that I have become lactose intolerant today. How’d I find out? Well the last time I had to take some time off about a month ago, I thought I had the flu because I had a lot of pain in my stomach. But not all the symptoms were really flu like, so I wasn’t 100% sure. Well, last night the lovely lady and I enjoyed some ice cream. Have I told you that I love ice cream? Well, I do. So I had a fairly generous helping. This morning when I woke up, I had that very same pain that I had last month. And then I got to thinking about it, and the day before I got sick, I had a fairly large amount of dairy. There was a dip that was cream cheese based, and we celebrated some birthdays, so I had ice cream. So the light has come on. I have become lactose intolerant at the age of almost 62. After doing a search on the inter webs, I’ve found out that this is not an uncommon development. Ah well. Adieu, ice cream. I will remember you fondly.
So anyways, I am in a lot of pain right now. So much so that it’s really difficult to concentrate. Can we agree that three chapters from Romans have a theme running through them that can be summed up thusly: Stop thinking only of yourselves. Put others first. Keeping in mind the mercy God has given you, be merciful to others.
I’m going to let you flesh that out in your own mind, if that’s ok with you. I really have to go lay down.
