Our First Ask Steve Question

Listener Russ writes: “Quick question: with all the interpretations of the Bible out there, how
do I know that I’m really getting the Word as the Lord meant it to be presented? One example is 1 Corinthians 13 – in most translations the story is about love, in the King James it is about charity. I feel like I should learn Greek and study the orignal text to see what Paul wrote to better understand what God said.”

This is a great question, because many people ask the same thing. Is there a “best” or “right” Bible? There really is a good answer to that question! Listen to the podcast to find out the answer.

Scripture

1 Cor. 13:4 – 7 (NIV)
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
